Baboons live in African woodland savannas, and subsist on roots, tubers, grasses, seeds, and fruit, but also hunt animals smaller than themselves. The three genera of baboons, Mandrillus , Papio , and Theropithecus , are not closely related and differ in morphology and behavior. Papio cynocephalus has a dog-like muzzle and a yellowish-brown coat of fur. Like all baboons, yellow baboons are sexually dimorphic, weighing between 11-26 kg (24-57 lbs), with females approximately 1/2 the size of males. Most times baboons live in polygamous social groups with up to nine females, but they also congregate into foraging "bands" of 30 individuals, or into "troops" of as large as 100.

Bill Durgin’s incredible ‘Figure Studies’ series transcends traditional photography into sculpting a piece of art with one’s camera. The images are the result of complex arrangements of the body parts which require extreme flexibility and contortion by the model to achieve an “austere effect contortion.” Bill Durgin received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University in conjunction with School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1995. And in 2000, Bill received his Masters in Fine Arts from California College of Art (CCA) in San Francisco. Bill’s work has appeared in galleries throughout the country including, most recently, the 2008 SMFA Traveling Scholars exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and a Solo show, Figurations, at Merge Gallery in New York. A team at Wake Forest University has built a "bioprinter" that uses cells instead of ink. It even uses an ordinary, off-the-shelf printhead, connected to test tubes full of different cell types instead of wells full of colored inks. Led by Anthony Atala, director of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine in Winston–Salem, N.C., the team is working on treating burns.

We are introducing a new type of photo which clearly shows the natural movement of the human body doing various activities such as walking, running, jumping, somersaults, karate punches, kicks, sword fighting, etc. ...
