Homemade Hand Scrub

http://www.instructables.com/id/Homemade-Hand-Scrub/ Winter is here and if the cold, dry air has turned your hands into sandpaper like it has mine, you`ll appreciate this hand scrub that leaves your hands soft, smooth and smelling delicious! Turn your old jars into thoughtful, homemade gifts (& keep one for yourself!) I suggest using small jars, since all the ingredients are edible (and therefore spoilable) and should be used within a month. Ingredients: Small sized mason or other jars you want to use Sugar Olive oil (or any other oil you may have in your pantry) Lemon juice & zest Few drops of vanilla *The amount of ingredients that you need depends on the amount of scrub that you want to make. I used about 4 cups of sugar for 4 small jars.

I tweaked this recipe a bit. I skipped the vanilla and zest and I added more sugar so the solid to liquid ratio would be skewed. I just didn't like it all that liquidy. Other than that, it leaves my hands quite soft. by mightyhedgehog Oct 14

This is a recipe for all natural homemade sunscreen, without zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. A few years ago, I created this Instructable that shows you how to make your own sunscreen using these ingredients. In response to many comments I'd been getting on it, I decided to offer a TD/ZO alternative, with all natural elements. You can actually eat most of the ingredients! http://www.instructables.com/id/All-Natural-Homemade-Sunscreen/

TLC Style "Make Your Own Shaving Cream"

My favorite part about caring for the environment is that it encourages the D.I.Y. spirit. I've always been a little on the crafty side and am more than happy to make something myself if it means that I'll save money and help out the planet by reducing my own consumption of chemical-infused products that are also often times packaging nightmares. There are a lot of products that many of us use daily that we could be making ourselves and shaving cream is no exception. Sure, you can always just use your soap or shampoo for shaving (it works incredibly well in case you haven't tried it before), but there is still something to be said for the shaving with actual shaving cream. If you're interested in making your own shaving cream, try out this recipe, it works for me! Here's what you'll need:
I was chatting with someone on my flight back from my vacation. She lived in another country where salons are hard to come by or if they are around, they aren't very good. So, sometimes a girl has got to depend on herself. http://shine.yahoo.com/fashion/diy-make-your-own-wax-for-hair-removal-473682.html
