Design an object and print it out in 3D and no one blinks an eye, all you have to do is design it in some CAD program, render a 3D model and you're set. Well, maybe instead of designing it, you scan something with a laser scanner and the model appears in the computer, that's pretty cool, but still, laser scanners are old hat, too, nothing new there.
