I am very excited about this tutorial, because I think it's one of my favorites so far. I've made many DIY's for my blog and I have enjoyed doing each and every one of them, but this one is something that I designed myself and am actually proud of! It's hard not to be critical about something you've made or designed, but this is the first time that I'm very happy with the end result without any 'buts' :) The tutorial shows you how to transfer your favorite image onto leather. I took a picture of my cats head and placed it on a picture from by boyfriend. In the spirit of giving thanks, I decided I would give thanks to Peanut (even though she's bad all the time) and make her some Thanksgiving inspired handmade cat toys!

These are pretty easy to make, and they don't require much in the way of supplies or skills. You will need some felt, catnip, embroidery thread, needle, scissors, crinkly trash, and something to stuff the toys with--I used some acrylic yarn I had around. I purchased these sheets of felt at JoAnn's for $0.35 a sheet. If you are making these toys for your own cat, they will try to help. Peanut went on a rampage and ruined everything for about 10 minutes after she got her paws on some of this catnip. See figure a. Once you have restored order (or at least some semblance of it) cut out two identical feather-shaped pieces of felt in the color of your choosing.

Add a few felt bits of flair to jazz up the feather and add some dimension. Next, you'll want to embroider some detail on the feather. [Nachmachtipp] Porzellan bemalen. Ruck-Zuck bemalt waren diese Tassen hier. denn bis jetzt hab ich immer nur relativ umständlich mit Pinsel auf Porzellan gemalt.

Laut Herstellerangaben benötigt es auch kein Einbrennen im Ofen mehr, sondern ist spülmaschinenfest nach 24 Std. Trocknung. This is a long post! And there’s a giveaway at the end, like a pot of gold or something! If you follow on instagram, you may have seen these little tees pop up in my feed on Saturday. I had lots of questions about screenprinting, so today I’m going to give you the low-down on how to screen print at home. I’ve been silkscreening for 10 years (yikes, am I old?) Screenprinting is really fun and the result is awesome! This is myProject Run and Play All-Stars week 1 project, a screenprinted “hola” tee and geometric shorts fabric. Last year I printed the lining of this coat for my ruffled riding hood project.

Hope you all had a great Easter! We had a lovely relaxing holiday (….well as relaxing as it gets with kids). It’s based on simplified version of Satoshi Kamiya’s origami diamond. These paper diamonds are tricky to make (& require a fair bit of patience) so definitely adults only!
