Fighting with two long-bladed swords. A great deal of time has passed since I wrote the old "Idiot's Guide to Two-sword Fighting.

fighting with two long-bladed swords

" Looking back, I find it a bit long-winded, impractical, and even self-contradictory on some points, so I've taken it down and now I'm putting up a new guide with a more practical bent--seasoned with additional experience I've gained from being whacked a couple hundred more times in some dozens of sparring bouts. First and foremost, I define the scope of this post as the art of fighting with two long-bladed swords. It will not deal with the Japanese nito combination of a long sword and a short sword, which would be more appropriately compared with European sword-and-dagger styles since the daggers used in these styles can be quite long--long enough, at least, to match the reach of a Japanese short sword.

Neither will it deal with the use of two short swords, which calls for a different paradigm of timing and distance control due to the short swords' abbreviated reach and lack of defensive mass. Shingeki no Kyojin

If you've talked with your friends about anime, then the couple anime that everyone talks about are Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and... Shingeki no Kyojin. What's the difference between Shingeki and the rest? Shingeki only has 25 episodes so far yet it's on par in popularity with the other super long, Americanized anime. Why is it popular? The story is one of the most captivating stories I've ever seen. 100 years prior to the start of the anime, humanity has been on the bridge of extinction due to the monstrous humanoid Titans that devour humans. My 3-word thoughts on the anime: Epic, Dynamic, Masterpiece. Characters was another area (alongside every area) that was Shingeki's strongpoint. The art and music can be described in one word: WOW!
