Publier des photos d'élèves sur l'internet. Les sites web scolaires ont choisi des stratégies très différentes quant à la diffusion de photographies d'élèves sur l'internet. On trouve des salles de classes désertes ou aucun élève n'est jamais visible ; d'autres nous montrent des élèves déguisés ou dont le visage a été flouté ; d'autres enfin diffusent des photographies individuelles ou des romans photos mettant en scène les élèves. La question de la diffusion de photographies d'élèves sur le site web de l'établissement scolaire ou de l'école nous est régulièrement posée. Les photographies individuelles des élèves «Chacun a droit au respect de sa vie privée.» La circulaire N°2003-091 DU 5-6-2003 parue au Bulletin Officiel interdit la diffusion de listes nominatives d'élèves accompagnée de leurs photographies.

Il est possible de diffuser sur un site web des photos d'élèves à des fins d'illustrations d'une activité pédagogique, d'une activité péri-scolaire, d'une sortie ... etc. Tout accord doit être accompagné d'un droit de retrait.
