I used to believe that a person could never have too many books, or too many bookmarks. Then I moved into an apartment slightly larger than some people’s closets (and much smaller than many people’s garages) and all these beliefs got turned on their naïeve little heads. It was so easy and fun that I ended up doing it three times this week... first with my own kids, then as a project at my son's school, and then with our music class. Rainbow Roses: All Colors in One Rose. The rainbow rose is a rose which has had its petals artificially coloured.

The colouring method exploits the rose’s natural processes by which water is drawn up the stem. By splitting the stem and dipping each part in a differently coloured water, the colours are drawn into the petals resulting in a multicoloured rose. Besides roses, other cut flowers can also be coloured using the same method. The rainbow rose has been developed by a collaboration of two dutch companies, River Flowers and F.J. Most of them are chemical mixtures with no ingredients listed on the packaging. You can only imagine what’s in there.
