Let us be clear: Baking soda is not going to permanently cure your acne or turn back the cruel hand of time. But if you’re looking to detoxify your body and your household, this multitasking ingredient will make your life easier (and more beautiful) without denting your coffers. Mom may have taught you that baking soda will make your bread rise and your fridge smell better, but did you know of its many cosmetic applications? Even the ancient Egyptians—and what beauty post would be complete without them?—used a compound similar to baking soda as soap.
Another reason to hate Mondays? Tight post-weekend waistbands. Unless you spent the past 2 days living like a monk, the cocktails, movie snacks, and dinners out can all add up to one thing: belly bloat. "If you wake up bloated on Monday morning, your weekend food choices are likely to blame," explains Keri Gans, RD, author of The Small Change Diet.

It´s saturday, I´m back in beautiful Monaco and life is good! As you all know I´m addicted to brown eyeshadows because it´s sofisticated, beautiful and goes with everything. However, sometimes plain brown can be a bit boring and since it´s saturday I decided to leave my comfort zone and do it with a twist. 1.
Use toothpaste on yellow nails. This usually happens when you let nail polish stay on your nails for very long and when you’ve used cheap nail polish. Whiten them all up by rubbing toothpaste to remove the stains.
Last month I did a makeover story with Kelsie and had many requests for a maiden braid tutorial. Yesterday she came in and we photographed these simple step by steps. Kelsie has extremely long and thick hair, but anyone with shoulder length or longer can do these braids (see my photo below for an example). Steps 1-2: Braid two strands on each side of a center part. Steps 3-5: Wrap braids around the crown of your head and pin in place with one pin each.
June 21st, 2011 For our trip to Costa Rica, I wanted fun nails that had an almost tropical vibe. I went back to Marie Nails (where I got this glittery combination ) and got a bright tangerine color with graduated gold sparkles on just my ring fingers (which you can see here ).
