"The Blood Countess" Elizabeth Bathory: the world's most prolific sadistic serial killer

She was raised with lavish privileges and spent her childhood at Esced Castle. It is said that she had suffered from fits and outbursts of rage – possibly even epilepsy. When she was young she had witnessed the torture of the peasantry that lived on and near her family’s estate, conducted by her father’s officers. Moreover, she was reportedly abused as a child by her aunt who taught her all about sadomasochism. Perhaps her peculiar childhood influenced her to become the world’s most prolific, sadistic serial killer. Elizabeth was well educated in classical studies and she could read German, Latin, and Greek. Her husband was the commander of the local Hungarian forces of the Holy Roman Emperor, so Elizabeth was often left at home alone while her husband was away at war.

Intro - Old Town Hall in Prague. The ancient West African bardic craft known as Jaliyaa is a testament to the power of music and words.

Jaliyaa

The wordsmiths of West Africa are popularly referred to as “Griots,” but in the West African language of Bamanakan or Mande Kan, they are known as Jali or Jeli (pl. Jeliw or Jalolu), depending on the region you travel into. A female griot is referred to as a Jelimuso or Jalimuso (muso meaning “woman). The craft of the griot, Jaliyaa, is traditionally, passed down from father to son and mother to daughter. In the 13th Century West African Empire of Mali, griots served the royal families as advisors, tutors and diplomats. For those who desire to dig a little deeper into this ancient craft, we’ve provided the following links to pages that you may access on Baba’s site: If you have any questions, or comments, please feel free send them to us via our Guest Book.
