Bioresource Engineering includes the design, construction, operation, maintenance, remediation and upgrading of systems that contain biological components. The Bioresource Engineering program at McGill is fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board so that, upon graduation, you can qualify to become a Professional Engineer by registering as a member of a professional engineering society in any Canadian province. (You must also meet some other requirements to be granted membership in the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec.) As well, it is possible to register anywhere in the United States of America and in most other countries around the world. The Bioresource Engineering Department is internationally recognized and renowned for its rigorous academic standards, its outstanding faculty, and its commitment to research.
