this may seem a little strange, but i’ve found that bathrooms are one of my favorite places to find design inspiration. what isn’t to love about this light and airy space from marie claire italy? i saw this image a while back on desire to inspire, (they put together a great round-up of antique tubs… swoon). not only is the color great in this space, i’m completely sold on the idea of having a bathtub that stands in the center of a room. so, i decided to pull together a bathroom look inspired by this space. it’s a little moody, romantic, and definitely a place that calls for a long bath with a cocktail in hand. now if i could just find a home with those herringbone floors… no.1: st germain liqueur no.2: wallpaper by grow house grow no.3: bauble chandelier by lindsey adelman no.4: anna sui comb { wit + delight }: design / fashion / projects / oddities { wit + delight }: design / fashion / projects / oddities

Sharing things. Custos Naturae is the slogan of the Kruger National Park, it means Guardian of Nature. i have been very familiar with it since i was a kid, as we were lucky enough to visit the park in my childhood days. we’ve just returned from our recent trip, and i took too many photos as per usual. i decided not to spend hours editing every single last one – so here are a selection of my favourites, highlighting some of the best things we saw. every trip is different, last year we saw hyena (and were lucky enough to see a leopard!) this time round we saw neither, but we did see a LOT of rhino – 16 to be exact – up close and personal, which was such a privilege considering the dire rhino poaching situation in the park and across Africa. we also spent a fair bit of one morning in the company of some beautiful male lions, who were so close to our car it made me nervous. when a lion looks straight into your eyes… you can actually feel yourself moving a few notches down the food chain.

Oh hey, Happy New Year! I've been sitting on this NY Resolutions post for the past week without any real intent to post but when Refinery29 and Clearasil challenged me to express how I am attempting to win the day. So yeah, why not? It was an interesting experience to collect these goal and hopefully start moving towards them ASAP.

A few weeks ago, we got a call from London. The remarkable folks at Orlebar Brown wanted to know if we’d be interested in combining our powers. They’re traversing the world, showcasing 24 takes on their clothing in as many days. We’ll include a preview of our picks here, but you’ll have to check out their site for the full scoop. Here’s to sunnier days. The Midwestyle The Midwestyle
