Nikon D2h Review by Thom Hogan. Battery performance is superb.
Really superb. The camera seems to power down gracefully, for example, much like the old film bodies. If you accidentally leave the camera on overnight with a full battery, the camera still claims ~87% battery charge 24 hours later, and that figure seems accurate. About the only thing I could find that draws down the battery quickly is very long bulb exposures or tethered use. A 10-minute exposure can pull the battery down 25% or slightly more. CompactFlash write performance can be superb. Autofocus performance is superb, though requires learning to use well. Color integrity is usually excellent, just as it has been with previous Nikon DSLRs, but with one caveat, which I'll get to in a moment. A second color problem took me longer to recognize: in some situations the camera has a green bias that can be ugly (see the software section in my eBook for a full example of this).

The D2H is an immediately impressive camera – extremely flexible, and offering a myriad of options that the photographer can set according to their own style and needs.
Here are my preferences for the Custom Settings .. and why. As with my recommendations with the D100 and D70, there are some custom settings which I believe should be changed from the default settings. Then there are custom settings, which I believe should never be changed from the default. The Custom Functions are grouped into 6 categories: a – Autofocus b – Metering / Exposure c – Timers / AE & AF Lock d – Shooting / Display e – Bracketing / Flash f – Controls a1 .. AF-C is the Continuous Focusing mode, where the shutter can be tripped whether the subject is in focus or not, ie, Release Priority. Default : Release button (ie, FPS is maintained), my preference : default, (Release priority).

Votre flash ne servira à rien pour deux raisons : Il éclaire au mieux à 5 mètres et votre feu d’artifice se trouve bien au-delà !
