Continue reading » Of course the organizers couldn't throw the Sweetlife Festival without serving their own Sweetgreen salads and "sweet flow" (the frozen yogurt). Sweetgreen started back in 2007 when three Georgetown seniors realized that D.C. wasn't eating enough salads. And we don't mean sad, wimpy salads that have you craving a real meal within five minutes—these are hearty, vibrant, colorful, and filling, made with ingredients sourced from local DC-area farms.
I think we've discussed this before. My friend Malinda has a real knack for making salads. Remember the shaved fennel beauty in Super Natural Every Day? That was hers.
