I am kind of in love with all the cute stacky bracelets right now.
I love mixing and matching leather and bangles and whatever. So – what is a jewelry loving girl to do? A little online inspiration shopping at Anthro – that’s what. They have a super cute new line of bracelets that are perfect for layering. They are nice and thin and you can mix or match them. But I switched it up a bit – instead of making the bracelets all different, I used the same style and changed out the cordings for an ombre look. Here is my inspiration bracelet from Anthro. Ready for a quick how-to? You’ll need: Cording for each bracelet1 brass square “tube” – I got mine at Ace Hardware, but any hardware store should have something similar2 crimp ends for each bracelet1 lobster clasp, 1 small jump ring, 1 large jump ring – for each braceletWire stripper/cutters or other cutter or sawSpray Paint1 large yarn needleFlat nosed and round-nosed pliers Ok – here we go.
Next up – spray paint all your bars. Aren’t they fun? Circles and Waves Tables Set - Part 2 - Time for Part 2 of the Circles and Waves Table Set – The Table Runner and Matching Vase!!
If you missed Part 1 – you can check out how to make the Placemats, Napkins, and Napkin Rings here. For the Table Runner, lay out your larger circles in the pattern you’d like. My runner measures 30″ x 10″ approx. Cut out a white piece of fabric the outside shape of the runner and a piece of batting about 1/2″ smaller than the total shape. Pin them together well. Start sewing your layers together with the bottom circles first. Once the bottom circles are sewn on, do the next layers, until all the circles are sewn down. Then the Runner is finished! Circles and Waves Table Set - Part 1 - As I mentioned last week with my Ribbon Necklace, I was able to participate in M&J Trimming’s Blogger Challenge last month!
This fun table set makes up the rest of what I made for the Challenge, the Circles and Waves Set I created for the dining room. Placemats, Napkins, Napkin Rings, a Table Runner and a Pretty Vase to go with it! I’m breaking this into two posts because it would be crazy long with all the pieces in one. I have to confess I am not an organizer at heart. I sure appreciate it – but it does not come easy for me! Retro Style Craft Room Bookshelf - 5 Tips for Organizing your Craft Room and Finding Deals - This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of eBay.
All opinions are 100% mine. If organizing doesn’t come easy for you, it can be hard to know where to start when you’re faced with a messy craft room or office space. In the past I’ve had a hard time coming up with the right places to put everything – plus how to make it all look cute! Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming looking at all the inspiration on Pinterest too – there are a ton of cute craft rooms on there and it’s hard to know where to start or how to incorporate those ideas into your own place.
I’ve been working really hard to sort all my supplies into the right spots, plus make the whole space feel like it has my style – it makes everything so much easier to keep tidy, and to feel inspired in. Must Have Craft Tips - Picture Hanging Strips - Hello again everyone!
It’s Friday so time for another Must Have Tip! If you are new around here my friends, Michele (The Scrap Shoppe), Bev (Flamingo Toes), Kara (Mine for the Making), and me, Allison (A Glimpse Inside), share a new topic every month and share tips each Friday to go along with those tips. This month we are talking about Home Decor tips and if you have missed the other tips you can find them here: Tip 1, Tip 2, Tip 3. Must Have Craft Tips - Creative Upcycled Craft Room Ideas - Hello friends!
Welcome to another week of Must Have Craft Tips! Kara from Mine for the Making here this week to share Creative Upcycled Craft Room Ideas with you. I love a good upcycle or repurposed project and I love a pretty, organized craft room. Let’s check out these unique solutions. Circles and Waves Table Set - Part 1 - A Little Pot Holder Love. I recently particpated in the Holiday Bake, Craft and Sew Along over at Skip to My Lou.
For the Sew Along, I wanted to come up with a gift that was fun and easy to make – but that people don’t always remember to buy for themselves. I thought that some cute Pot Holders would be just the thing! It’s more fun to cook and bake with cute pot holders don’t you think? "Let's Eat" Dishtowel - So I kind of have a thing with having cute dishtowels. I admit it. I’m a dishtowel snob. I will even confess to buying Anthro dishtowels on occasion. Clearance of course – but still. And when I started using my cute dishtowels, I would get a little freaky about them being used. But now? "Let's Eat" Potholder - So we’ve discussed my resolve to have cute dishtowels. And my philosophy to use them on a daily basis and throw caution and dirty fingerprints to the wind. Apparently this brave attitude is spreading to my other kitchen related items – namely potholders.
Why should I use a plain boring potholder when I can use something cute and fun? Something that makes me want to bake cookies. And eat cookies. Anyway – here is the last installment in my cute kitchen series using the Verona line from Riley Blake – it’s the “Let’s Eat” Potholder! Sketchy Retro Bicycle Dishtowel - I am so loving this Christmas in July series we’re doing! I hope you are too! One of my favorite things to give as gifts are cute, unique dishtowels. They make great hostess and teacher gifts – and they’re perfect for friends too – they’re something we don’t often think to buy for ourselves. Floral Flamingo Sewing Machine Cover - I’m so excited to show off my new Floral Flamingo Sewing Machine cover! I shared this a few weeks ago over at Fabric.com and I’m sharing it here today! Sewing Machine covers are great for keeping the dust off your machine when you’re not using it – and this one has some great storage pockets on the side too.
They are perfect for holding your scissors, seam ripper, a measuring tape – all the little tools you like to have handy when you’re sewing. I used the new Rifle Paper Co line from Cotton + Steel for this – I couldn’t resist those cute little flamingos. To add a little decoration to the front I created a simple Flamingo Embroidery design, I think it looks sort of like a flamingo cameo! Let’s get started on the tutorial!
