The Poetry Library

Each competition has different regulations. In most cases, poems should be in English and not previously published. Where regulations and entry forms are available online, a link is provided, but in other cases, competitors should write to each competition, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope for an entry form before submitting work. Details:Entries are judged blind. The Bridport Prize. Judge: Andrew Miller Prizes 1st prize £5000 (approx 8000 US$, 5900 Euro) 2nd prize £1000 (approx 1600 US$, 1180 Euro) 3rd prize £500 (approx 800 US$, 590 Euro) 10 supplementary prizes of £50 each The top winning stories, poems and flash fiction will be published in the Bridport Prize 2014 anthology The winning stories and shortlist will be read by leading London literary agents with a view to representing writers The top thirteen eligible stories are submitted to the BBC National Short Story Award (£15,000) and The Sunday Times EFG Private Bank Short Story Award (£30,000) Remember to delete any identfying marks on your submission before uploading your short story.
