Digital Air - Virtual Camera Movement Techniques - Frozen Moment, Time Slice - Camera Array Visual Effect Production Service

To record a frozen moment, or "time slice" effect shot, we trigger all of the cameras in our systems simultaneously. This results in a number of images of the subject from a number of different points of view - all taken at the exact same moment in time. These individual images are then transferred sequentially in digital format into a computer and stabilized to make a smooth motion picture of a moment frozen in time. That's not all that our systems can do, however. The frozen moment is just one dramatic example of the power of Digital Air's camera array systems over the relationships between space, time and camera movement in motion pictures. The other visual effects discussed in these pages illustrate a variety of additional sometimes subtle, oftentimes dramatic, ways in which Digital Air's camera array systems and visual effects production services can be used to defy our most basic assumptions about space, time, and camera movement in motion pictures. http://www.digitalair.com/techniques/

Tres Jolie

http://tresjoliefilms.blogspot.com/ Shot on location at the John Lautner Chemosphere House off Mulholland Drive, the film showcases Sasha as a perpetually evolving figure. Costume designer Ellen Mirojnick (“Basic Instinct,” “Fatal Attraction,” “Wall Street,” “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”) dressed Sasha for the part in an array of lingerie and military inspired garments to highlight the dual nature of her masculine / feminine persona. Looking over the roadside from the vantage point of one the most legendary residences in modern and cinematic history, Sasha reflects on her relationship to the San Fernando Valley landscape- the location of some of her most noted adult performances.

Prologue

Final Destination 5 opens on a high: The opening credit sequence is a heady 3-D phantasmagoria, a swirly, trippy sequence of glass shards, knives, poles, iron rods, and various other implements of death flying at the audience.”
