As if Fryars ‘ poignant and heart-wrenching new single “ On Your Own ” didn’t hit hard enough on its own, the soulful track is lent some additional emotional gravity (in slow-motion) via this stunning, beautifully cathartic new video, directed by Olivier Groulx . Yours Truly gave us an intriguing little preview of their latest Songs From Scratch dream collab featuring Shlohmo + Jeremih a couple weeks back, but the finished product is even bigger than we expected. These two need to do a full-length together ASAP.

Geplaatst: 8 november 2010, door Chris Spijbelen was zonder twijfel mijn favoriete bezigheid op het voortgezet onderwijs. Mijn voornaamste reden om te spijbelen was om een, wekelijks, bezoek te brengen aan de "rijksdaalder bioscoop". Ik ben dus inderdaad dusdanig oud, dat ik die gouden periode nog heb mogen meemaken. Voor 2 gulden 50 naar de film, welk ander reden had ik nog nodig om klassen te skippen? Geen.

I find Brooklyn to be simultaneously wonderful and terrible in its never-ending stream of culture; on any given night I can find some truly wonderful food to eat, or band to see, or gallery to go to, and so on. But, its easy feel over-saturated and unimpressed in this environment, and as a neurotic over-thinker, it can send me off into these horrible existential spirals where, for lack of a better word, I temporarily feel like a huge phony.
