Extérieurs nuit2000 - 2006 Le titre de la série fait référence au terme utilisé dans le découpage d’un scénario cinématographique et qui défini à la fois l’espace et le temps dans lesquels se déroule une scène du film. Des lieux existants transformés pour les besoins de la narration ou recréés en studio, le plus souvent dans la recherche d'une illusion du réel.
Dans la série Extérieurs nuit, la démarche est inversée: les photographies sont réalisées dans des espaces urbains réels. Des lieux désertés, où règne une atmosphère théâtrale, énigmatique, voir inquiétante, qui ont pour caractéristique de paraître non réel et de sembler avoir été agencés, mis en scène. Les images présentent une tension qui donne à penser qu’une action vient juste de se produire, ou va prendre place, l'instant suivant.
