Turn your studio apartment into a 1 bedroom with PAX

Materials: PAX Description: My girlfriend and I bought and moved into our first apartment, with a tight budget we couldn't afford anything bigger then a studio apartment. I can't imagine anyone wanting to have their bed in their living room, so we started to brainstorm. We discussed ever type of foldaway bed and room divider. Then we found IKEA's PAX sliding cupboard doors. We bought the biggest we could find in light aluminum and frosted glass. http://www.ikeahackers.net/2010/10/turn-your-studio-apartment-into-1.html

Billy bookcases as room dividers

This is Lily's very first Ikea hack and it's a nice one. Clever use of Billy bookcases to section out a 'sleeping area' and create storage. Definitely a snuggle-worthy corner. She says, "I'm renting this large one space studio but didn't like the idea of having my bed in the living room as well as in the kitchen so I came up with the idea of a room divider. Since I also had a lack of storage for books etc I decided to purchase five Billy 's (4 large and one small) to create a 'sleeping corner'. The position of the bookcases also makes kind of a hallway. http://www.ikeahackers.net/2009/03/billy-bookcases-as-room-dividers.html

Loft bed frame and elevated laptop stand

Materials: MALM and Magasin Description: Here are two of my Ikea hacks. The first is a bed frame I made... I recently moved from a house into a small apartment, and needed somewhere to store all of my things, but still wanted a clean, clutter-free look. Ikea had the answer.
