The Secret Coke Recipe on "This American Life?" My Dad Found That. Maybe you heard the story that went viral today about how the original recipe for Coke may have been revealed after being closely guarded by the company for 125 years. ABC, CBS, NPR, Time, USAToday, Al Jazeera English--everybody’s on the case. Maybe you’ve seen the photo of the hand-written recipe in question (above). My dad, Charles Salter, took that photograph 32 years ago as a columnist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The column was called the "Georgia Rambler. " He’d travel the state looking for colorful people and places, often stories with a historical bent. One of his best sources was the late Everett Beal, a fishing buddy of his who worked as a pharmacist in Griffin, Ga. “Coco Cola Improved” was scrawled by hand on page 188, above a list of ingredients. Meanwhile, back in Atlanta, my dad showed a photo of the recipe to Coke and asked them the same question. You would think a column blowing the lid off Coke’s big secret would be front-page news in its home-town paper. Dreams-Meaning-Infographic.jpg (630×1350)

The Templar Revelation. The Templar Revelation: Secret Guardians of the True Identity of Christ is a book written by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince and published in 1997 by Transworld Publishers Ltd in Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. It proposes a fringe hypothesis regarding the relationship between Jesus, John the Baptist and Mary Magdalene, and states that their true story has been suppressed by the Roman Catholic Church through, among other tactics, the conscious selection of the texts that make up the canonical New Testament, their campaigns against heresy, and their propaganda against non-Christians.

In the latter painting, they propose that the person in the painting seated, from a viewer’s point-of-view, to the left of Jesus is Mary Magdalene rather than John the Apostle, as most art historians identify that person. In trying to understand the significance of these unusual images they conducted research into what they term a “thread of heresy” that reaches back over 2000 years. Notes[edit] List of unusual deaths. This is a list of unusual deaths. This list includes unique or extremely rare circumstances of death recorded throughout history, noted as being unusual by multiple sources. Some of the deaths are mythological or are considered to be unsubstantiated by contemporary researchers.

Oxford Dictionaries defines the word "unusual" as "not habitually or commonly occurring or done" and "remarkable or interesting because different from or better than others. Some other articles also cover deaths that might be considered unusual or ironic, including List of entertainers who died during a performance, List of inventors killed by their own inventions, List of association footballers who died while playing, List of professional cyclists who died during a race and the List of political self-immolations.

Life hacks. Step-By-Step Kegerator Plans. Intro: Tools and Materials There’s nothing quite like a freshly poured beer from a draft system, but for most of us draft beer has been a pleasure that you only get at bars and restaurants. That's a shame, because kegged beer is a cheaper, fresher, better preserved product. To top it off, some craft breweries also offer beers in kegs that they don't sell in bottles or cans. You can buy a ready-built kegerator, but with a price tag that usually exceeds $700, you're spending a lot of money to buy a fresher beer.

Step 1: Choose Your Refrigerator To demonstrate our project, we chose to buy a new Frigidaire FRC445GM 4.4-cubic-foot refrigerator, but there are dozens of models of compact refrigerators that will work. . * As far as capacity goes, most 4.4- to 5-foot models will work for one or two kegs that hold one-sixth of a barrel of beer. . * Choose a model with no freezer compartment or a freezer compartment that’s easily removed. Step 2: Choose Your Kegerator Conversion Kit Step 19: Expert Tip.
