How Evernote Keeps My Entire Life Organized. Evernote is life-changing. I've been a happy user for years now (this isn't an ad, just the ramblings of an enthusiastic evangelist) and I seriously can't remember how I functioned without it before. There are so many different ways you can use it to streamline and simplify your life. You can take notes, write to do lists, attach photos, record voice memos, scan papers, set reminders, save articles—the list goes on.
Here, I'm sharing my nine favorite ways to use it to keep my entire life uber-organized. I Keep a Master To-Do List Although I still love to write my daily to do list on paper, Evernote is where I keep my master task list, which includes literally everything I need to get done whether it's work-related or personal things like errands I need to run. I Create a Packing List Before a Trip If you're someone who travels a lot, having a packing list handy will make your life so much easier. I Keep a List of Long-Term Goals This is a fun one! To start off, I should warn you that this review might be slightly biased because well, I love Moleskine. I got my first one, a reporter-style pocket notebook, for my 18th birthday and discovered the history behind the notebook (the iconic greats like van Gogh and Hemingway used them).
I started to use it for daily homework to-do’s, purchased a bigger size for notetaking, and loved having a sophisticated notebook that wasn’t spiral bound with covers in funky colors. I now carry at least 2 notebooks in my bag at all times, a daily planner and smaller pocket notebook to jot down random thoughts and to-do’s. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement; just look at how many Moleskines I rounded up from my desk alone. So what is it? Okay, so it looks kind of cool, but what does it actually do? To me, the best part about the Smart Writing Set are all of the options available to you after you’ve written your notes or drawn your sketches. …replaying your notes. …auto page detection. Evernote might be the perfect app for the job. With more than 150 million users, Evernote is one of the most popular note-taking apps because it lets you keep track of just about any kind of information you want to remember later. It's actually much more than just a note-taking app, too. Why Evernote? Try as we might to remember the important bits of information that fly at us all day long, chances are we won't. That's where Evernote comes in.
Although there are at least a dozen great note-taking apps you could try, few note-taking apps are as robust and feature-rich as Evernote. Most importantly, Evernote lets you quickly retrieve specific notes when you need them—from any of your devices, via the web app or with the Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS apps. Convinced? In fact, I have just about 10,000 notes in Evernote. In this article, I'm going to answer a bunch of reader questions by explaining the many ways in which I use Evernote. How Evernote organizes information Before I begin, I'd like to introduce the three organizational elements Evernote uses to keep track of information.
