Away we go! | Cara's Cravings. Hi friends! Don’t you just love Memorial Day weekend? Racing out of work on a gorgeous Friday afternoon and leaving the stress behind feels just fabulous. Maybe you have a weekend full of yardwork or maybe you’ll be barbecue-hopping with friends and family, but the good news is, it’s all about YOU. So this year, I’m actually not doing either of the above mentioned things, which are what I would usually be doing this weekend. Instead, I’m packing my bags and heading far, far away! This is longest, furthest away vacation we’ve taken since our honeymoon, and it feels good (and we haven’t even left yet!) Specifically, two nights in Athens, five in Santorini and three in Mykonos.
Unfortunately I didn’t get my rear in gear and whip up some yummy meals for you to try out while I’m gone. But just keep in mind, I make no guarantees that they are actually Greek dishes! I promise to let you know how many of these I actually see on menus in Greece. One more thing. 20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer. The Oatmeal Grammar Pack. By then, some Soviet writers had learned to use the Aesopian language, with its hints and euphemisms, to get their books into print. Others poured onto paper the undisguised torment that filled their souls, knowing that their work would never see the light of bookstores. For those of you who have been following my reviews, you know that I have been eating, sleeping and breathing Anne-world for several weeks, now, and I realized it's time to add drinking to that list!!!!
Now, normally, we create drinking games to help us get through the more painful of films coughIAmNumberFourcough. So you might think that creating a drinking game to celebrate a beloved classic, such as Anne of Green Gables, would be a challenge. But if you thought that, you would be seriously underestimating my love for games. I don't know about you guys, but I pretty much sob through this entire movie EVERY TIME I SEE IT. Moby-DuckBy Donovan HohnHardcover, 416 pagesViking AdultList Price: $27.95 At the outset, I felt no need to acquaint myself with the six degrees of freedom. I'd never heard of the Great North Pacific Garbage Patch. I liked my job and loved my wife and was inclined to agree with Emerson that travel is a fool's paradise. I just wanted to learn what had really happened, where the toys had drifted and why. I loved the part about containers falling off a ship, the part about the oceanographers tracking the castaways with the help of far-flung beachcombers. I especially loved the part about the rubber duckies crossing the Arctic, going cheerfully where explorers had gone boldly and disastrously before. At the outset, I had no intention of doing what I eventually did: quit my job, kiss my wife farewell, and ramble about the Northern Hemisphere aboard all manner of watercraft.
I'd never given the plight of the Laysan albatross a moment's thought. Watch Suddenly, Last Summer. Watch Wristcutters: A Love Story online - Watch Movies Online, Full Movies. One of the most popular neighborhoods among Seoulites for the past few years is undoubtedly Samcheong-dong (삼청동). The neighborhood’s unique mix of traditional hanok-style buildings, modern art galleries, comfy cafés and excellent restaurants collaborate to make it a huge draw.
In my opinion, the best way to reach Samcheong-dong is via an attractive, narrow road that starts not far from Anguk Station. The popular walkway is flanked by stonewalls, benches and tiny groves of trees, with Bugaksan mountain (북악산) in the distance. After walking a few hundred meters, the street opens up a bit, and Samcheong-dong‘s charming storefronts begin. Dragonhillspa.co.kr. Fort Zverev located in Kronshtadt, Russia. Built by engineer Konstantin Zverev in the 1870s, Fort Zverev now lies in ruins, with machine gun mounts, bunkers, and water tubes slowly rusting away. But the part of Fort Zverev that feels truly nightmarish lies in the basement area, where in the 1970s, a fire erupted.
However this wasn't just any fire. In this basement they stored a Russian alternative to napalm, and when it caught fire it reached temperatures of over 2000С, so hot in fact, that it literally melted the brick above it. In doing so it created a sort of artificial cave of red brick stalactites dripping down from above. Today the fort, and its cave of dripping brick stalactites are still there, slowly falling back into the Russian countryside.
