Remember these - March 30, 2011 - klandwehr. Facetime on the Mac. Facetime for the Mac is available in beta to be downloaded. Once you download the application and install it, you have to connect it to your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple ID you need to set one up. Then you need to verify the email address you want people to use when they call you. This is where I ran into trouble. I tried to use my Mobileme address, but it said it wasn’t available that it was already in use. There is a resolution to this on the Apple Support discussion, however to be honest I really didn’t understand the solution.

I ended up using my google domain email account to verify and it worked fine. I do think it is going to help Facetime to grow in popularity. Feb 21, 2010 - kimsdreamsandthoughts.com. A Review of GetGlue. Personal Democracy Forum. Grapes - March 29, 2011 - klandwehr.

If you are a business working in a countries whose policy you disagree with, do you follow those policies and try to change them from the inside, or do you leave . If you remain in the country there is no guarantee that you will have any impact on policy, but there is a small chance.

If you leave and you are alone in walking out then your impact will be strictly symbolic. That is the problem with Google’s decision to close down their search engine in China. Microsoft and Yahoo have steadfastly followed Chinese guidelines on censorship and there is no indication they are following Google’s lead. In fact both companies, especially Microsoft have been extremely quiet on the subject. Let’s be clear Google decision alone will have little impact on China in the end. Hopefully, more companies will follow Google’s and Go Daddy’s lead.
