I?m obsessed with?THIS PIRATE BEDROOM! ? blah blah blah?

<——– Take a minute and *like* my page on Facebook! Thanks! :) I think we can all agree this is the COOLEST. BEDROOM. The home features a huge hidden slide that runs the height of the home’s staircase, and plops you into the coolest pirate bedroom ever featuring a pirate ship that floats above the bedroom, and a jail. In other news….. Here is the home’s mudroom. TA DAAAA! This is the view of walking into the bedroom. The rope bridge is connected to the top of the jail cell, built to accommodate evil doers, thieves and little sisters. I love the detailing on the bottom of the bathroom floor. Ta daaaaa! Pretty cool, right? If you liked this bedroom, you might like my post about an amazing pirate home theater! Like this: Like Loading... A completely renovated first apartment.

Lofted Forest Home: Organic Curves & Natural Materials. Good things come to those who wait – particularly in a work of uniquely detailed and highly curved architecture.

Lofted Forest Home: Organic Curves & Natural Materials

Nearly a decade in the making, this structure by Robert Harvey Oshatz is much like a tree house – lofted toward the top of the canopy around it – only bigger, grander, more complex and curved than most any tree house in the world. The perimeter of the structure is pushed out into the forest around it, curving in and out to create views as well as a sense of intimacy with the coniferous and deciduous tree cover. The wood and metal detailing is incredible in its variety and customization – each piece designed to fit a particular form and function. Wood and stone carry naturalistic themes from the outside in and even the metal looks naturally rusted. The curved, organic mix of materials continues to the interior of this elevated forest home – a conceptual play on the fluidity and complexity of music (the source of inspiration for the architect and client in the design).

stairway to heaven.

This 1970′s townhouse renovated by Swedish interior designer Marie Olsson Nylander, is pretty much a decor dream come true for me. i love all the white, and rustic woods with dashes of bright colors and eclectic, vintage-inspired home furnishings. yep, this is my stairway to heaven.
