It's a whole lot to take in, I understand. The colors, the snakeskin, the pattern? I love it. Unfortunately, I can't find a better picture of the Carlos Falchi clutch online, but it looks magical. As I've mentioned before, I'm often commitment-phobic with my DIYs. To make things even easier, at Michael's I found Duck Tape sheets. Keep reading for the how-to! Tools and Materials: Pencil and pen Scissors Paper cutter (optional, but helpful for straight cuts) Ruler Scrap paper Clutch Begin by sketching patterns and designs (true to size) on paper.

Use the paper cutter to cut strips of varying widths and colors from the ducktape. I cut out the sketch of my most elaborate design so I could trace it on to the gridded ducktape backing and cut it out. Save any scraps; you could incorporate them into your design later! I trimmed down the paper template to get the shape of the next layer. DIY projects made from everyday objects. What I love most about technology is that it's all about customization.

DIY Minaudière

Needless to say, I’ve accumulated an impressive collection of sunglass cases over the years. Recently we’ve discovered that these abandoned containers can easily by re-purposed into fabulous mini clutches! Inspired by those spotted during Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, we made a super simple minaudière with just a few tools and a fancy piece of hardware. Open the sunglass case and drill a hole in the top center. Run the drill through the hole a few times in order to make the opening wide enough to fit the drawer pull. Easy. Perfect for all the essentials . . . minimalism at its best! (top image from style.com, rest of images by Honestly…WTF)
