The MEMRI Blog -Saudi Prince: Arabs Use Internet for Entertainme
Prince Turki bin Sa'ud, vice president of King Abdul Aziz City for Technological Sciences, said that regrettably, the use of the Internet by the Arabs is for entertainment purposes only rather than for the exchange and use of information.i just had a thought the other day. i am one who is inclined to say that indian culture is fundamentally hindu. this is even seen in many forms of non-hindu religion, such as syrian orthodox christianity in kerala, or some modalities of indian sufism, or the syncretism of satpanth . similarly, i have made the assertion that reformed judaism owes more to christianity, or at least the culture which was identified with christianity, than it does to historical rabbinical judaism. the identification of christianity and the west is waning now, in large part due to demographics, but we are more at a “hinge of history” right now as the identity is taking time to be eroded by a multi-polar christian world (in contrast, hinduism remains indo-centric). but what about islam?
