Actually, that's not in the Bible. By John Blake, CNN (CNN) - NFL legend Mike Ditka was giving a news conference one day after being fired as the coach of the Chicago Bears when he decided to quote the Bible. “Scripture tells you that all things shall pass,” a choked-up Ditka said after leading his team to only five wins during the previous season. “This, too, shall pass.” Ditka fumbled his biblical citation, though. The phrase “This, too, shall pass” doesn’t appear in the Bible. Ditka was quoting a phantom scripture that sounds like it belongs in the Bible, but look closer and it’s not there. Ditka’s biblical blunder is as common as preachers delivering long-winded public prayers. These phantom passages include: “God helps those who help themselves.” “Spare the rod, spoil the child.” And there is this often-cited paraphrase: Satan tempted Eve to eat the forbidden apple in the Garden of Eden.
None of those passages appear in the Bible, and one is actually anti-biblical, scholars say. “Only a few catch on.” Consider these two: The Map of Humanity — The Adventures of Accordion Guy in the 21st Century. We’re not even above embracing a kids’ movie once in a while. The qualities that we look for vary. Sometimes we want mindless action and heavy fireworks. Sometimes we want down and dirty combat, whether on the streets of a city or the beaches of Normandy. 100. Why Guys Dig It: Scorsese+Day-Lewis=Movie Heaven! Buy the Movie 99. Logline: After losing his hand and his family in an attack upon returning home from Vietnam, a veteran and his hook cut a swath of destruction through the people responsible. Memorable Moments: William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones star in this classic, considered an extremely violent film for the time.

And these quesadillas… with their buttery, crispy, heavenly tortilla shells… are seriously yum. Don’t let the green scare ya, avocados have a really delicious taste. I promise they’re not just thrown in to “healthify” this recipe! ;) Quesadillas are one of our favorite quick and easy weeknight meals. Come on, let’s make these, you’ll love ‘em! Let’s start with the bacon. Here’s how I do it. Now take about a tbsp of the bacon drippings and add to a skillet over medium heat. Add bite-sized pieces of chicken in a single layer, season with salt & pepper, and cook for about 5 mins or until chicken is golden and cooked through, flipping just once during cooking. Remove the chicken & scallions to a plate and rinse out the skillet.
Then add a little butter over medium heat… And when foamy, add a tortilla and swirl it around to get it nice and buttery. Now we can start layering with the good stuff. Bacon. Avocado.
