Doodling « Elizabeth Rosenberg's Blog

All the way back in my high school days, I used to doodle while the teacher was lecturing (though I might have been better off if I’d taken notes instead). I’d fill page after page of my notebooks with doodles. Most of them featured spirals, which I loved even back then. I especially loved doodling during music appreciation class. I remember my doodles becoming very loose and flowing when listening to classical music.

I’ve always found that my creativity is greatly influenced by music, and I try to make that work for me in my studio as often as possible by listening to music that makes me feel good. I thought it might be fun to share some of the doodles I’ve been creating lately. Himadri Pachori. Joanne Fink (calligrafink) on Pinterest. Lines. November 2012. a little lime: like to know more about me?

I live in the beautiful Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia with my husband and our daughter erin (the last of our 3 little nestlings), along with a myaid of animals including cows, chickens, 2 piggies (muffin and puddin - soon to be mothers of my homemade proscuitto and bacon), 3 cats, a dog and a horse. I discovered Zentangle in May 2012 whilst surfing online. Saw it! Loved it! Found Tangle Patterns and madly worked on creating a log of all the patterns.

I decided to start this blog in August 2012 so that I could personalise my sharing space. I am a minimalist at heart, and find it an exciting challenge to be able to work with pattern intensive designs that retain simple, clean lines. Oodles of Doodles. Terem13's Photostream. Zentangle.
