Ghost walks put a chill on hot summer nights | News. They're back! Just when you thought that it might be relatively safe to go outside this summer. Once a month starting on May 25 (Retro Fest weekend), local 'ghost guru' Sheila Gibbs (a.k.a. 'Ghost Girl') and her sidekick in the world of spirits, local historian Jim Gilbert (me), plus a cast of . . . well . . . a few more will lead you on a stroll through some of Chatham's oldest and most haunted streets by eerie lantern light. Started five years ago as a partnership between the Kent Historical Society and Retro Suites Hotel, these Ghost Walks have proven to be a very popular summer outing for hundreds of local residents as well as visitors from outside of the area staying at Retro Suites.
