It's worth noting that with content marketing and social media a long term approach is needed. If however, we succeed in generating a lead – somebody who has subscribed to our list, made and enquiry or just simply downloaded a piece of our content – we now need to do something with that lead. Sometimes we will receive autonomous leads – we know somebody interacted with us and was probably interested, but we don’t yet know who they are. Once we get a led the sales process can start in earnest.
