Cyclone Power's external combustion engine gets another patent - Detroit Automotive technology

Patent and Trademark Office has approved the company's second overall patent on its heat-regenerative, external combustion engine. This latest action marks the seventh patent issued on Cyclone's engine and its various, unique components. One of the most ingenious innovations of the Cyclone engine, as provided in the latest patent, is that it contains no motor oil; meaning, it is completely water lubricated.

For the record, the Cyclone is an external combustion engine (ECE), as opposed to an internal combustion engine. For more information, here's adirect link to my first article on this engine technology: That makes it a modern steam engine, providing substantial improvements in thermal efficiency, power densities and operating characteristics over what many people envision when they think of steam engines. Cyclone engines have been tested to run at over 30% efficiency, exceeding current gas-powered engines. Cyclone Power Technologies reveals steam engine feasibility for cars - Detroit Automotive technology.

Imagine having the choice to run your car on gasoline one day and 100% pure biodiesel the next.

Better yet, imagine having such fuel options for a generator engine like the one used in the Chevy Volt to charge the batteries for extended-range driving. It would be the best of all green and semi-green worlds. Fact is, the Cyclone Engine by Cyclone Power Technologies enables consumers with the option to use fuels that are less expensive, more plentiful and locally produced. That has to be better for our economy, national security as well as the global environment. So, what is the basis for their latest Mark V engine? Furthermore, heat from this process is used to turn water into steam, which is what powers the engine. Fact is, there were steam engines in the days of Henry Ford. It’s easy to see how this type of technology would indeed benefit generator engines, like the one that indirectly drives the Chevy Volt.

I had no sooner checked my stats this morning on the recent article about the latest patent for the Cyclone Engine and its relation to auto usage, when I received an email from the inventor and founder, Harry Schoell. It appears the Cyclone engine process goes way beyond auto use. The email read as follows: Friends of Cyclone, your help is requested. We recently entered our Waste Heat Engine in the GE Ecomagination Challenge. The great thing is that you can make a huge impact. It just takes a minute to vote, but we need you to do it now. Help us win the big prize: GE Winner - Cyclone-Whe To vote, click this link or, cut and paste the following into your browser: Thank you for your time and support, and don't forget to tell your friends! Best regards, Harry Schoell and the Cyclone Team Examiner Comments I have read the comments of one naysayer whi thinks there are no working units.
