Mozilla Firefox (Navigation privée) Columns - Ralph Dewey. Balloon Saxophoneby Ralph Dewey At the Fellowship of Christian Magician's convention this last July, I had a chance to be part of a balloon band. I had my mother along with me and she decided to take part too. I made a balloon saxophone for each of us. We both swayed and moved along with the music. The song that we were pretending to be playing was, "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller. The balloon saxophone is fairly simple to make. It only takes three #260 pencil balloons (one inflated and two used for tying), a #350 and an 11" round balloon. Begin by inflating the round 11" balloon to about 6 or 7 inches and tie off. Once you have successfully joined the two balloons, you will need to trim off any excess scrap pencil balloon. On the #350, tie a knot at the nipple end where the inflated portion stops. Here is a twister's tip. You can decorate the valve pads and finger holes on the saxophone with a black Sanford's Sharpie or the Expo 2 dry marker.
This month's columns | Past columns. Columns - Ralph Dewey. By Ralph Dewey The Balloon HQ challenge this month is a banjo or guitar. Some years ago I saw a simple banjo made from a single #260 balloon. It was one that could be played. Even though it only had one string, you could stretch it slightly to change the tone of the string. This month I'll show you my two balloon version of the playable banjo. It uses two balloons because one balloon doesn't have enough length to do it justice. I use a #160 to make the thumbscrews at the top of the banjo and a #260 for the body and string. Inflate about 6" of a black #160 and tie off the nozzle.
Inflate a green #260 balloon fully except for about 3-1/2" and tie off the nozzle. Twist off a 9" bubble (the neck of the banjo). Pull the uninflated section of balloon between your fingers so that the air gets squeezed out of it toward the bubble at the nipple end. To play the banjo, press the heel of your picking hand against the bottom of the banjo and your stomach. Stands, décors & évènements - Les ateliers. Janvier 2012. How to make a Duplet Square Pack Wall...
Since posting the Clown balloon wall that I taught at the Balloonland Event, Israel, January 2012, I have had many requests asking how it was made. So here is the first of 2 blogs showing 2 different wall techniques, with a little introduction to balloon walls. There are many different ways to create walls with balloons! We can use latex rounds, non-rounds and foil balloons such as Qualatex Starpoints and others too! So, we need to determine which type of wall we want to create or more importantly, which wall best suits our or our customers needs?
So why are we proposing a balloon wall to our clients... a client will never ask you for a wall, it is your job to sell what it can do for them... sell the emotion and not the product!
