Gender Equality Explorer provides free, 24/7, user-friendly access to data disaggregated by gender from the U.S. Census Bureau collected through the American Community Survey. The tool enables you to create your own tables, maps and reports to illustrate, analyze and understand the status of women and girls in your community. Gender Equality Explorer was created by the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota’s Center on Women and Public Policy to expand the availability of data on women and girls and the capacity of individuals and organizations to use data to advance equality for women and girls across the country.

Edna McConnell Clark Foundation : Building an Evidence Base. Evidence of a program’s impact ranges from anecdotal stories, to data collected ad hoc or systematically, to evaluations of varying sophistication that compare two sets of data, and to the gold standard for evaluations: randomized controlled trials.

Amassing evidence and advancing evaluation systematically is an ongoing, dynamic process we call building an evidence base. This enables an organization to continually improve its program and to replicate and expand it. We believe that the most effective nonprofits use data (from both systematically collected internal sources and rigorous external evaluations) for ongoing learning, self-evaluation and improvement. Such "data-driven" nonprofits understand what it is about their programs that makes a difference in the lives of young people, and use data to make better decisions as they seek to extend their impact. Innovation in the social sector cannot occur in a vacuum. Tearless Logic Model by Ashlee D. Lien, Justin P. Greenleaf, Michael K. Lemke, Sharon M. Hakim, Nathan P. Tearless Logic Model Having used a number of the highly developed logic model approaches and formats in writing federal and foundation grants, we found ourselves failing miserably when we attempted to use these models collaboratively with community partners.
