Gadi Amit, NewDealDesign Gadi Amit is a San Francisco based designer behind some of the most innovative and lasting products produced over the last decade. Named a "Master of Design" by Fast Company in 2010, Gadi works from the inside out in search of true Architecture, crafting delightful and workable solutions for real people.

Robert Andersen, Square Robert Andersen is the Creative Director of Square where he has lead design for the company since its inception. In 1961, the President of the Italian Republic, acting on a proposal made by the Minister of Justice, authorized the change of his last name to Pininfarina in consideration of his achievements in social and industrial activities. At age 11 he began working in his brother Giovanni's bodyshop, the "Stabilimenti Farina". During the First World War he personally supervised the construction of the "Aviatic" trainer planes, for which he received a commendation from the Office of Military Aviation. In 1920, he went to the United States to see America and judge first hand the great developments in that country. In Detroit he met with Henry Ford, who asked him to stay in America and work for Ford Motor Company, but Pininfarina preferred to return to Italy. In 1920, he married Rosa Copasso. Pininfarina always showed great interest in man's tenacious efforts to develop technology. He received the Gran Premio Nazionale Compasso d'Oro. Celebrates Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s Life - Porsche Drive USA

Today we learned of the loss of one of Porsche's great founding fathers — Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi” Porsche. The creator of the iconic Porsche 911, founder of Porsche Design, and Honorary President of the Supervisory Board died today in Salzburg at the age of 76. Butzi Porsche, or “F.A. With the Porsche 911, Butzi produced a sports car icon whose timeless and classical form survives to this very day in what is now the seventh generation.

Con la ponencia de Pardo iniciaron oficialmente las actividades académicas en la Escuela de Diseño, y se marcó el comienzo de una serie de conferencias, conversatorios y charlas que buscan dar soporte teórico al quehacer de los diseñadores, según manifestó Paulo Romero, director de la Escuela de Diseño.
