Real-time revenues and profits: Race to a million. Blackwater's Black Ops. Internal documents reveal the firm's clandestine work for multinationals and governments. Over the past several years, entities closely linked to the private security firm Blackwater have provided intelligence, training and security services to US and foreign governments as well as several multinational corporations, including Monsanto, Chevron, the Walt Disney Company, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and banking giants Deutsche Bank and Barclays, according to documents obtained by The Nation .

Blackwater's work for corporations and government agencies was contracted using two companies owned by Blackwater's owner and founder, Erik Prince: Total Intelligence Solutions and the Terrorism Research Center (TRC). Prince is listed as the chairman of both companies in internal company documents, which show how the web of companies functions as a highly coordinated operation. About the Author Jeremy Scahill Also by the Author What relationship Prado's CCG has with the CIA is not known. Nation Magazine Story, "Blackwater Black Ops" Refers to Monsanto and Security Firm. Monsanto did not hire Blackwater nor did we approve of the firm infiltrating any groups as was suggested in the Nation article. In 2008, 2009 and early 2010, a firm called Total Intelligence Solutions (TIS) provided Monsanto ’s security group with reports about activities or groups that could pose a risk to the company, its personnel or its global operations. The safety of our people is our utmost priority and we value the communities in which we operate.

All information provided by TIS was developed by monitoring local media reports and other publicly available information. The subject matter ranged from information regarding terrorist incidents in Asia or kidnappings in Central America to scanning internet blogs and websites. Prior to retaining TIS, Monsanto specifically enquired about and was informed that TIS was a completely separate entity from Blackwater. 'Monsanto Protection Act' Shines Light On GMO Controversy In America. The American public has slowly awakened over the past several years to the creep of genetically modified and genetically engineered crops into the food supply. Now a provision in a bill signed into law Tuesday by President Barack Obama has thrust GMOs into the spotlight, prompting food advocacy groups, agribusiness and GMO-producing corporations to scramble to capitalize on the moment and promote their sides of the debate.

The issue probably first gained widespread attention with the 2006 arrival of Michael Pollan’s groundbreaking book “The Omnivore’s Dilemma,” which introduced concerns about the potential dangers of these biotechnologies to a wide audience. Then in 2009, director Robert Kenner released “Food, Inc.,” an Oscar-nominated documentary that picked up where Pollan left off, providing a concise entrée into a number of food-related issues, including the possible impacts of the rising prevalence of GMOs. HR 933, Section 735 “Monsanto’s dirty little secret” The industry response. Why is the Gates foundation investing in GM giant Monsanto? | John Vidal | Global development. A Romanian farmer shows genetically modified soybeans in the village of Varasti. Photograph: Reuters The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is sponsoring the Guardian's Global development site is being heavily criticised in Africa and the US for getting into bed not just with notorious GM company Monsanto, but also with agribusiness commodity giant Cargill.

Trouble began when a US financial website published the foundation's annual investment portfolio, which showed it had bought 500,000 Monsanto shares worth around $23m. This was a substantial increase in the last six months and while it is just small change for Bill and Melinda, it has been enough to let loose their fiercest critics. Seattle-based Agra Watch - a project of the Community Alliance for Global Justice - was outraged. But it got worse. The two incidents raise a host of questions for the foundation. In the meantime, it could tell us how many of its senior agricultural staff used to work for Monsanto or Cargill?

Campaign to Stop Killer Coke | Tell Coca-Cola to STOP the VIOLENCE! Acorralan a Coca Cola.

THE COKE SCANDAL.
