Here's a step-by-step guide to help you capture your first scan with KScan3D. 1: Install KScan3D If you haven’t installed KScan3D yet, please follow the instructions listed in the Installation section. 2: Connect the Sensor Plug the Kinect or Xtion sensor into an available USB 2.0 port on your computer. When using a Kinect, plug the other end of the cable into an electrical outlet. Ensure that Windows recognizes the sensor and wait for confirmation that the device is now ready to be used. 3: Select an Object to Scan Select an object that you wish to scan. 4: Launch KScan3D Double-click the KScan3D icon to launch the software. 5: Create a New Project Select the Projects tab at the top of the screen, then select the New project icon. 6: Aim the Sensor at the Object Aim the sensor so it is level and facing the object.
