Certain traits are considered stereotypically feminine and innate to human females: protective compassion for others (especially underdogs) the ability to sense feelings and emotions of others the ability to see the gray areas in situations the ability to know how to act in different social situations the ability to put one's own needs aside in order to meet the needs of another (as in the case of a mother putting the needs of her child above her own) Imagine the difficulties, then, of a girl or woman with autism trying to navigate in a world when she does not have the ability to do these things.
