A trick used in making many comics is the stat panel – reusing existing art for storytelling reasons or just to save time. Sometimes a small part of the art will be altered (like the mouth) or maybe the line art will be recolored to match a new scene. Dreamwave was especially notorious for using stat panels. I think the worst case was Pat Lee’s two issue run on Transformers Armada , especially issue #7. Almost every page of this issue has some type of stat. Here are a couple of the more blatant examples. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the table at Wondercon! I know it was very spur-of-the-moment, but it was awesome meeting you! And it always warms the cockles of my heart when people have been following me online long enough to want a drawing of Blue or Daggett.
