I remember carefully selecting Steve Jobs’ 2005 Stanford Commencement address to share, and support my educational philosophy. As teachers, and humans we need to reflect on our purpose, our goals and the footprint we leave behind. Steve Jobs’ footprint is amazing. She defines levels of ‘concepts’ which should be used in planning the curriculum: Key concepts, which are timeless macro-ideas that transcend disciplines (such as order, systems, change).Related concepts, which are discipline-specific and build depth of understanding in the subject area.Additional conceptual understandings, “supporting ideas“, which are five to eight concepts per unit designed to guide formative work.

It is clear from this model that the emphasis on concepts and global contexts should drive the unit of inquiry, though students should quickly see the disciplinary relevance of the concept and build depth in their understanding. Nous avons parlé des échéances de mon projet et des indicateurs de réussite. Il m'a demandé où j'était rendu dans l'avancement de mon vidéo et de mes idées et m'a proposé des échéances pour que je ne sois pas en retard lors de la remise. Il m'a aussi rappelé qu'il fallait que je possède des indicateurs de réussites pour vérifier si j'ai réellement réussi et terminé mon projet personnel. J'ai donc rédigé une liste d'indicateurs qui vont me permette de prouver, lorsque mon projet va être finalisé, si j'ai atteint mes objectifs.

Benoit m'a également aidé à trouver une solution pour le son du vidéo. 9 janvier 2013 Deuxième rencontre avec mon tuteur.
