She's beautiful. She's Brooklyn. Manhattan's neighbor to the east has become a veritable mecca of wholesome food, great vintage, and enough craft beer (and ginger-beer-based cocktails) to fill the East River. Not to mention a plethora of date-worthy guys and gals — ever walk through McCarren Park on a sunny weekend afternoon? No? If you're a neophyte (or even a BK local), it can be more than a little intimidating to navigate the most populated of the five boroughs — there are a boatload of neighborhoods offering so many different experiences, after all. Think we missed your favorite Brooklyn spots? Bedford-Stuyvesant/Fort Greene/Clinton Hill Made most famous in pop culture by the likes of director Spike Lee (most of his films are set in the neighborhood), Chris Rock (same with his semi-biographical Everybody Hates Chris), and rapper Notorious B.I.G., Bed Stuy is the hub of all things Soul Food, stoop hang outs and outdoor basketball.

It's on Gerritsen Creek, part of the Jamaica Bay watershed, not far from anything I've mentioned in my other tips. There is a building, the Nature Center with hands on exhibits for kids (and people like me!) , displays, ranger led activities and lectures. The building itself is very nice. I should definitely mention, the unlike my other tips, this isn't a National Park Service site, it's run by City Parks (NYC), Urban Park Rangers. The programs they give are great--birdwatching, butterflies, stargazing (yes, in Brooklyn, you can even see the stars) , sunset walks...they used to have an open house each weekend with music and refreshements, but since they have now been ope for more than 3 years, i would check on that.

The combat has players duke it out in turn-based combat with spaceships in the vast void. It takes quite some skill and provides ample entertainment, because the fights involve dodging slow-moving projectiles (there are lasers too!) Astro Lords is definitely a promising title, but the strategy elements could very well be executed better.
