Tacky people in tacky locations, sordid gropes in nightclubs, hen parties lined up next to a gaudy stretch limos. For Dench this is an exploration of where Britain goes to find love. But where is the love? Much of what we can see here is plain old fashioned lust in the company of stag nights and strippers with a good dose of nudity and lashing and lashings of alcohol. Initially I had a nagging sense that we were being asked to partake in a kind of guilty voyeurism. Now, nobody’s asking for a return to the days of Picture Post and the hammy glorification of the honest working man – and certainly the participants in these scenes do themselves no favours – but the complete absence of sympathy in most of these pictures can be read in two ways. But amongst the squalor there are flashes of intimacy. Like this: Like Loading... National Geographic Photo Contest 2011 - Alan Taylor.

National Geographic Photo Contest 2011 - Alan Taylor

For the past nine weeks, the society has been gathering and presenting galleries of submissions, encouraging readers to vote for them as well. National Geographic was kind enough to let me choose among its entries from 2011 for display here on In Focus. Gathered below are 45 images from the three categories of People, Places, and Nature, with captions written by the individual photographers. I couldn't quite bring myself to rate this device a 4, although a 3 might be too low.

Call it a 3.5 For the most part, it works fine. I'm using it with a Nikon D3100. I did not have any problems with the plug fitting too tight as some others have reported here. The no On/Off switch is reason enough to not rate it a 5. The "beep" is worthless. When you have it set to "unlimited" number shots, and it is taking photos, the display stays at [ --]. Limiting the number of shots setting to 399 restricts its use, and is somewhat odd. The Instruction Manual has many problems (this is why I couldn't rate this a 4) . - All page references, even the Table of Contents, are off by one page (e.g. it says "see page 6" but what it is referencing is found on page 5; this is true for every page reference throughout the manual). - The graphic on page 11 titled "The Speaker and Release Lamp" is totally incorrect as far as how my unit operates.

. - They should have proofread it better. 10 stop nd filter. Intervall Timer for Nikon und Canon DSLR v2. The pad in the lower left corner is the connection for GND, and is connected to the shielding of the plug. Here you can see the assembled circuit: Obviously all the magic happens in the microcontroller (µC). Revision history. Tiny hardware-based DSLR intervalometer. Woo, moved account to 41cats.
