Is a collection of teaching and reference materials developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to introduce and excite youth from kindergarten through 12th grade about the knowledge and skills utilized by public health professionals. Practices in public health-related careers focus on discovering the roots of health problems in a community — whether the problem is a measles outbreak on a small college campus, a global influenza pandemic, an increase in homicide in a single community, a national surge in violence, or a localized rise in cancer rates.
