I can't stop planning what my new bedroom will look like, even though I've never seen the place! Luckily my roomates are moving in July 1st and are sending me pictures. Yay! So here's my plan so far.

My mom is allowing me to take the antique dresser that's in my bedroom at my parent's house which is great! (It looks just like one I found on google shown below) But I'm trying to stear clear of the room looking overly "antiquey", and a little more modern. I'm thinking I can achieve this by mixing graphic designs (wallpaper headboard, pillows, turquoise and red prints) with more feminime ones (Dkhim prints from Etsy, stencilled lamp, drawer pulls) How'd I do? How To Get The Look. What better place to drift off to sleep than in a dreamy, Bohemian bedroom? Take a look at these ethereal bedroom spaces and I think you'll agree that: Everyone needs a stress free zone! These boho bunks are so cosy. Here, the stained glass windows, exotic rug, candles and books tie the Boho look together. This is Bohemian gypsy to the extreme. I love the unexpected combination of raspberry with shades of green.

Golden gypsy caravan interior. I feel relaxed and lighter just looking at this! Via free people Lush velvet bedding and oriental rugs along with mismatched vintage furniture create the look. Exotic rugs used not only on the floor but on the wall, along with the houseplants, create texture and add interest. Another example of mismatched vintage linens in all their faded glory. Love the mossy green velvet. Here, shades of teal give this room an almost royal feel. Gypsy caravan interior via Elle Decor. What a cozy place to read! Don't be afraid of color! Add a beaded curtain. Bibigloo: A Glowing Postmodernist Igloo Made of 250 Recycled Water Jugs |... With climate change already melting away many arctic habitats, French artist Bibi wondered how long it would be before native Inuits would be forced to leave their homes. Bibigloo is the vocalization of those concerns through eco art. Bibi calls the glowing, red igloo made of recycled water jugs an "architectural postmodernist inuit concept," and we think it certainly attracts attention to his point.

“The Bibigloo is both a work of land art, design, light source and a plastic art installation,” writes Bibi of his work. “It is a habitat type polyethylene igloo to replace the 20th century igloo traditionally made of ice. Indeed, following the thawing of the ice, innovative solutions must be found to relocate the Inuit people.” The Bibigloo (the name is a contraction of Bibi and igloo, in case you were wondering) is 4 meters in diameter and 2.8 meters high, so while it’s meant to be an art installation, it’s big enough to work as an actual shelter too. . + Bibi. ULLABENULLA: This weekend I went down to Santa Cruz to spend some quality time with my dearest friend Marty. Over the years, Marty and I have shared one of those special relationships where no matter the distance or time we can always re-connect and inspire one another as if it were only yesterday that we were last together. I met Marty when we were both doing crafts fairs in the early 90's. I was instantly attracted to her smile, generous spirit, true business savvy and unmatched eye for detail. We became fast friends and have supported one another through the thick and thin of life's adventures. This weekend was no different, being able to spend time with Marty's Granddaughter Molly!

Marty lives in one of Santa Cruz's beautiful Victorian gems. But the brightest new jewel in her collection right now is truly little Molly! It's Marty that I owe my love of bats, skeletons and the macabre. My own Marty Magic Jewelry collection rivals any shop display! THANK YOU MARTY for another perfect visit!!!
