Here’s a favorite flub (if there can possibly be such a thing): You’ve inked your stamp enthusiastically and completely, and in your zeal to apply it to paper, you rock an edge of the clear block in ink and a thin line of ink shows up to mar your project. Before I address the fix, here’s a way to prevent the problem in the first place—always use the right tools for the job! Although it may be tempting to grab the nearest block, even if it’s oversized for the stamp image you’re using, resist. When you use a block that’s sized just right for the image, you’ll reduce the risk of stray ink lines considerably. Here’s a quick fix idea, though, if the “stray ink line” happens to you. My favorite tip: if you’re using either White Daisy or Colonial White (which are always my favorite cardstocks to stamp on because they show off the images the best) the easiest fix is to simply buff it out!

I used the USA 1776 set for my first two samples today. On this card - I used the cut files Claire sells in the store, stamping in colored ink and clear embossing on the flag, candle and lantern. I placed the candle (fire cracker!) I embossed the background with the Americana Background and Borders embossing folder. For my next two creations I used the set Country Labels 4.
