How many dollars raised through ads on RedState ? On Thursday, however, the monthly Internet Advocacy Roundtable at the Center for American Progress explored a more difficult but more salient question: How do we gauge the Internet's influence on policy debates? At the forefront of efforts to model the online conversation is John Kelly, chief scientist at Morningside Analytics . Speaking at the progressive think tank yesterday, Kelly demonstrated several three-dimensional graphs of the blogosphere his firm has built—each resembling, in his apt characterization, a "spinning brain of colored dots."
