DiS Radio Returns! Q1 2011 Report by Sean Adams & Mike Diver
After an absence of several years, the "award-winning" DiS Radio is back! In case you missed the mention on the boards this weekend and don't subscribe to our Mixcloud then you might have missed the return of DiS Radio . Some of you may remember the show from a few years back, before various 'official' music industry bodies introduced a royalty rate which prohibited us from continuing doing the podcast, without bankrupting ourselves.BEAK> were formed in January 2009 by three Bristol musicians, Billy Fuller, Matt Williams and Geoff Barrow. The band have very strict guidelines governing the recording and writing process of their work. The music was recorded live in one room with no overdubs or repair, only using edits to create arrangements. All tracks were written over a twelve-day session in SOA Studio’s, Bristol.

Guest Lists: Gang Gang Dance
Welcome to the latest edition of Pitchfork's Guest List. Each week, we ask one of our favorite artists to fill us in on what they've been up to lately: which tracks they can't stop spinning, what books they can't put down, and what new bands they've caught on tour. This week it's Gang Gang Dance's Liz Bougatsos, who discusses Angry Birds , the thread count of her bedsheets, and Lil' Kim vs. Nicki Minaj. Favorite New Songs From the Past Year I have been listening to this group of DJs here in New York, called Ghe2o Gothik , and it's kind of the best thing happening here.Royal wedding: Fans camp out at Westminster Abbey

He says, I spoke up and I did it and I don’t regret it…People been hitting me up like, I’m gonna bash your head in…I’m gonna kill you…I’m a keep pushing for the human rights and for people to be happy and the people to speak and you know what, I’m not gonna stop and I’m not scared of anybody on earth. While we were watching Lil B onstage at the FADER FORT by FIAT we wrote “in the age of information, can one person change the world?”
Gay Heterosexual Lil B Receives Death Threats After Naming Album
DiS has found a man who watches loads of music vids, so you don't have to. He knows all there is to know about the bestest music videos around, and here is his very first column... Now that MTV is (and arguably always was) rubbish, I think music video has got a lot better.

Photos by Anna M. Campbell tUnE-yArDs ' second full-length, w h o k i l l , is the kind of record that wants to know where you stand. It is intense and striking and assembled with care, but it also refuses to slip into the background and puts its concerns directly in front of your face. It seems destined to inspire strong reactions and, as Matthew Perpetua said of tUnE-yArDs' leader Merrill Garbus in his review here , "don't be surprised if this record earns Garbus a very earnest and intense cult following." tUnE-yArDs is a relatively new project, but Garbus has been involved in art and music for some time.
