The folks over at Tropical Waste (best logo for miles) wrote in and told us about a mix they’d got from a certain DJ Merlo. It’s all Soca and dancehall and it’s called Gully Workout, maybe it’ll get you amped to be back at work, maybe it’ll make you want to work on your vanity muscles, maybe you’ll just start early on Guinness and Red Bull today. That there’s three very seperate and distinct personality types, but dancehall’s got love for all of you, be you work bitch, preening muscleman or alcoholic (they get weird about preening musclemen sometimes, but that’s on them being ig’nant). If you’ve got a mix you want us to feature, send a link to this dummy ‘s email address and he’ll decide if what you’ve put together is worth telling the world about.

Video: Lil B and Tony Yayo, “Based” « The FADER

Brandon, B, Based God: Internet like trash the human race is dirty into that cut of the man hitting the man with the belt at :24 is the most brutal oral/visual combination we could fathom taking in on a Friday afternoon, but we’re confident you didn’t mean any harm. It’s uplifting, in some way, to acknowledge a truth and a feeling for one moment, to let it wash over and then pass. This song is about the Tea Party, this song is about Michael Jackson, Tiger Balm, fossil fuels, our destroyed #based earth. Welcome to the party down here, Tony Yayo. http://www.thefader.com/2011/02/25/video-lil-b-and-tony-yayo-based/

http://www.thisman.org/dreams.htm "I have had this recurrent dream for some years now. A tall, dark man shows me a picture and asks me if I can recognise my father in it. The man in the picture is this man I have never seen before, he looks nothing like my dad, nevertheless I inexplicably answer that I do recognize my father. At this point I usually wake up feeling very peaceful. Other times the dream continues, I am standing before my father's grave, I place some flowers on the ground and I realise the photograph on the tombstone is missing."
