After a semester at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, she continued her studies in Helsinki with a Master in Photography at Aalto University of Art and Design and graduated in 2013. Her photographic approach deals mainly with the representation of rural communities and wildlife, questioning our fundamental and fragile relation with nature, animals and death. Her last work “Metsästä” (From The Woods) was exhibited for the first time in the Images Festival 2012 in Vevey, with a Broncolor lightening award and among the selection of the Swiss Photo Award 2012. Metsästä was published by Kehrer Verlag and part of the selection of the best photobooks of 2012 by the Aperture Paris Photo first book award. Mais au sein même de la ville moderne, de petites résistances s'organisent face à la standardisation des architectures, la privatisation des espaces et les réhabilitations brutales. Ce sont des corps, des gestes, des objets, des lumières, au coin d’une rue, sur un balcon ou sur un visage. Quelles qu’en soient les raisons sociologiques, économiques, politiques ou écologiques, ces zones de poésies anarchiques signent l’appartenance de ces espaces à une même aire culturelle, au monde méditerranéen. À Beyrouth ou à Marseille, à Alger, à Valence ou Tripoli, cet entêtement du faible et de l’isolé à former des poches de douceur altère profondément le paysage urbain.
