Living Spaces: Inspiration set 1

This year is going to be huge for Designcollector as we just entered our 10th Year of online existence. During the New Year I was thinking to go beyond normal posts and focus on what we love to do – collect things under different categories. So we start the year with 1st Inspiration set of Living Spaces or simply great Interior Design examples (mostly done in Rustic, minimalists and industrial style) collected in our Pinterest

Once upon a time there were some very well-off folks in Vancouver who wanted big new homes. They called upon a builder by the name of Keystone Projects Ltd. and asked them to build the homes of their dreams. They asked for fancy kitchens and bathrooms and rooms for their pool tables and views to die for and a car lover's garage.

45 Creative Small Kitchen Design Ideas

Sep 04 A small kitchen always has its advantages: it’s cozier, you don’t need to look for different things for long because everything is at hand. There some ideas how to make a small kitchen cool. A rustic kitchen with rough wooden shelves and furniture would look great in some country house. A kitchen with industrial touch – a rough brick wall – is cool, especially with sleek surfaces and a kitchen island that has a dining surface to save some space.

20 Ways to Use Color Psychology in Your Home

When you approach home design, you likely do so in a couple of different ways – choosing objects and colors that simply look attractive or using an existing pattern or decor theme to govern your decisions. However, color is a powerful tool that can be used to inspire emotions, create space illusions or simply set the mood and atmosphere for any particular room. Especially when used with interior and exterior painting, color psychology is a great way to create a healthy and beautiful home. The following are 20 ways to use color psychology in your home. 1.) before & after: trolley depot renovation

It’s always been my dream to live in a home with airy, open rooms and lots of exposed bricks, so when this renovation project from Amy came across my desk, I was instantly smitten. Located in Atlanta, this building is about 100 years old and originally served as a trolley depot. Thankfully, Amy and her husband did a wonderful job preserving many of the original details while adding some modern touches that complement the overall aesthetic beautifully. Wonderful job, Amy! — Kate

Redecorating by Repurposing

Notre Maison

I like this layout just like I would like what the runway models wore at a fashion show. For its artistry. It's use of color(though sparse in the design... because of the light the atmosphere provides and the less color the more the light can pour in and bounce off of itself...), pattern, texture and creative style. You have to take into account all of the contributors to the design.
