Salt Water Etching: Step by Step. Ok, well after some initial concern this method wouldn't give me nearly as spectacular results as I had heard, and some helpful input from fellow forum members, I finally seem to have a method that works quite well.
So, here's my shot at a step by step guide to poor mans electro-chemical etching. I'm pretty sure there are much better ways to do it, but the point is that this method works, and surprisingly well. Here we have the basic equipment I used for this example:A 9v battery.A pair of alligator clips.Q-tips.A roll of electrical tape.My bottle of salt water. (tap water with about 5-7.5% table salt)Sheet of custom vinyl stencils.A healthy drink (I was thirsty). This is the only part of the process that requires some special preparation.
