Today Lisa, Jory, and I are thrilled to announce that the 10th annual BlogHer Conference will return to its Bay Area birthplace next July 24-26, 2014 in San Jose, CA! You can (and probably should) register now! That's right, it's our 10th anniversary. Few events reach this milestone, and we couldn't be more proud or excited to do so. It is our mission to deliver a conference next summer that will be worthy of this milestone. As part of that mission, we are also excited to announce that we are partnering with IDG World Expo to produce our flagship events this year, both BlogHer Food '14 and BlogHer '14. In honor of our 10th Anniversary, here are some things you should know: 1. 2. 3. 4. Back in 2005 we called BlogHer "the conference the community built," and we couldn't be more grateful and excited to see how far we have come together, as a community, to build this event.

President Barack Obama LIVE via Video at BlogHer '12! Today we are honored to announce that President Barack Obama will address the BlogHer '12 audience at 4:30PM Thursday, August 2, via live video feed. We will gather in the Grand Ballroom at the New York Hilton to hear from the president live, and understand why he has chosen to make this rare conference appearance. We will be recording the video and posting it as soon as we can post-appearance.

All conference passes, from day passes to party and/or expo passes to full passes will be granted admission to this special event. [And you can still register here.] As an non-partisan organization, BlogHer issued invitations to both the Republican and Democratic campaigns, and both presidential candidates specifically, to speak at the conference and publish on BlogHer.com. Best,Elisa, for. BlogHer '11 - the you got a picture of me whether you wanted it or not edition. Every year I'm at a loss about how to recap BlogHer. If you were there, then you already know what happened, and if you weren't there, it's likely you don't really care what happened.

But, then I remember I pay for this space, so I'm going to talk about it. BlogHer '11 was my first trip to San Diego, and I loved it. I was blown away by the weather. Not literally blown away like here in April during the Monday Tornado Series, but as in, "It's like this all the time, are you kidding me? " Do you even know what you have there, San Diego? I was thinking of marrying you, but I think your airport is a deal breaker for me, so we'll just be good friends. I'm strongly considering moving into your convention center, though. There's plenty of room, spacious bathrooms, a great view, 3 meals a day, new friends every few days and a Starbucks.

Overall, it was a great conference, much more laid back than in years past, perhaps something to do with the Southern California vibe? Related to the economy? Anyway... Cyn & Marsha. BlogHer ’11: PunditMom “Scavenger Hunt,” Moms Clean Air Force & More! | PunditMom. The summers seem to get hotter and more humid every year in the shadow of the nation’s capital. So I am looking forward to a couple of days of cooler weather as I head off to San Diego shortly for BlogHer ’11, as well as the Women Create Media: Empowering Women in the Digital Age conference.

You’ll find me at couple of different places around these events talking about and selling/signing my second “baby,” Mothers of Intention: How Women and Social Media are Revolutionizing Politics in America. If you’re afraid of “politics,” don’t worry — it’s a gentle, bipartisan look at how women are becoming empowered to create social change through social networking. At the Women Create Media conference, started by the lovely Rock and Roll Mama, I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences of becoming a published author and sharing what I’ve learned about taking a blog to a book format and navigating the publishing process. So why am I telling you where I’m going to be? Do you know Robin Plemmons?
